The Children of Winnetka Congregational Church Receive More Than Candy This Easter

The children attending Easter services at Winnetka Congregational Church, 725 Pine Street, Winnetka, had a special opportunity to celebrate life this year.

Donnellan Funeral Home, 10061 Skokie Blvd., Skokie, graciously provided 250 velvet pouches containing wildflower seed for the children to plant in the location of their choice.

In coordination with Winnetka Congregational Church, Donnellan Funeral Home hopes to encourage the children to experience the true meaning of Easter by allowing the children to take part in the rejuvenation of life.

The seeds are a blend that has been specifically mixed for the Northern Illinois region by Forever Wildflowers™. The company, located high in the mountains in Westcliffe, Colorado, specializes in encouraging the spirit of the celebration of life.

For additional information regarding the service, contact Christopher Gilmore after April 12 at (847) 441-3400 Ext. 15.
